The National Disaster Response Force ( NDRF ) carried out two important rescue operations in Premnagar area of Dehradun on Tuesday , in which a child and 497 students were rescued safely. The NDRF gave information about these operations through the social media platform X.
According to NDRF , a child got trapped in the flood of Swarna river in Tharkurpur, Premnagar , Dehradun . After this, the NDRF team conducted a flood water rescue operation and rescued the child safely and provided first aid. In another post, NDRF also informed about the safe rescue of 497 students.
Sharing the photo, he wrote, " Students in Devbhoomi College located in Premnagar had reported being stranded due to floods. After this, NDRF teams conducted flood water rescue operation and evacuated 497 students safely." NDRF has advised people in flood affected areas to remain alert and follow safety guidelines.
The water level of Ganga is rising in Haridwar
At the same time, the water level of the Ganges river in Haridwar is continuously rising, due to which the administration has issued a strict alert to the people . According to the information, the administration has started taking full caution, calling the situation serious. Extensive steps have been taken to save the people living on the banks of the Ganges. Haridwar Police is continuously running awareness campaigns through loudspeakers so that damage caused by the suddenly rising water level can be avoided. The administration has warned the local residents not to go near the river and follow the alert completely. Also, the District Officer and Disaster Management Team are constantly inspecting the affected areas.
