News Topical, Digital Desk : Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will arrive on a three-day visit to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands from December 11.
This will be his first visit to the Union Territory as RSS Sarsanghchalak. According to officials, Bhagwat will arrive in Sri Vijayapuram on December 11 and hold meetings with local RSS officials and workers. The next day, he will unveil a statue of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in Beodnabad, South Andaman.
That evening, he will release a song based on Savarkar's thoughts at an event held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology. Bhagwat will then address a public meeting at the Netaji Stadium in Sri Vijayapuram on the evening of December 13th and depart the archipelago on December 14th.
These events are being organised by Mumbai-based Valuable Group to celebrate the 116th anniversary of Savarkar's poem 'Sagra Prana Talmala'.
