News Topical, Digital Desk : Notorious Naxalite commander Ramdher Majji surrendered this morning in Bakarkatta, Chhattisgarh. Ramdher Majji was a Naxalite equivalent to Hidma. Twelve other dreaded Naxalites also surrendered with him. A reward of Rs 1 crore was announced for Central Committee Member (CCM) Ramdher Majji. With the surrender of these Naxalites, the Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh zones have become Naxal-free.
The surrendered Naxalites included Ramdher Majji, three divisional vice commanders, and other key members. Lethal weapons such as AK-47s, INSAS rifles, and SLRs were also recovered from them.
Majji was active in North Bastar Division
According to reports, Ramdher Majji was active in the North Bastar Division. He surrendered to the police at the Barkatta police station in Kumhi village, Khairagarh. Along with him, Divisional Committee Member (DVCM)-ranked Chandu Usendi, Lalita, Janaki, and Prem, along with other dreaded Naxalites, surrendered. Two of these Naxalites were armed with AK-47s and INSAS weapons. Area Committee Member (ACM)-level Naxalites Ramsingh Dada and Sukesh Pottam also surrendered. Party Members (PMs) Lakshmi, Sheela, Yogita, Sagar, and Kavita also surrendered. Police are interrogating them to gather more information about their network and activities.
