News Topical, Digital Desk : Maharashtra School Education Minister Dada Bhuse on Monday said that under the 'Nation First' initiative, over 2 crore students from one lakh schools in the state created a world record by singing patriotic songs together and in unison on Republic Day.

He said that the World Book of Records, London has officially recorded this initiative.

As part of the "Nation First" initiative, school students in all divisions of the state performed mass singing of patriotic songs after hoisting the national flag. Bhuse said 700,000 teachers also participated in the initiative.

The minister said the students had been practicing the song for the past few months. The school education department had provided a 14-minute instructional video to all schools in the state.
