Method of Tulsi Puja
On Saphala Ekadashi, wake up early in the morning, bathe, and then wear clean clothes. Afterward, clean the place of worship and worship Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi in the prescribed manner. Be sure to include basil leaves in the offerings to Lord Vishnu.
After this, in the evening, light a ghee lamp near the Tulsi plant and circumambulate it seven or eleven times. After this, chant the mantras dedicated to Mother Tulsi and perform aarti. This brings blessings from Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi to the devotee, bringing happiness and prosperity to the home.

Don't do this work
One should not offer water to the Tulsi plant on Ekadashi. According to religious beliefs, on Ekadashi, Mother Tulsi observes a waterless fast for Lord Vishnu. Therefore, offering water to the Tulsi plant may disrupt her fast, preventing you from receiving the auspicious results of the Ekadashi fast. Furthermore, one should avoid removing Tulsi leaves on Ekadashi, as this will prevent auspicious results.
These mistakes can be costly
On Ekadashi, as on any other day, you should maintain complete cleanliness around the Tulsi plant, or you may incur the wrath of Goddess Lakshmi. Avoid placing shoes, slippers, dustbins, or brooms near the Tulsi plant. Never touch the Tulsi plant with dirty or unclean hands, even by mistake. Touch the Tulsi plant only after bathing.
