News Topical, Digital Desk : Canadian investigative journalist Mocha Bazirgan said she was surrounded and threatened by a group of pro-Khalistan supporters in downtown Vancouver while she was videotaping and taking photos of a pro-Khalistan rally downtown over the weekend.

"All this happened two hours ago and I am still shaking. They behaved like goons, surrounded me, snatched my phone and tried to stop the recording," Bazirgan said.

He further said that all this happened for a short while, but the situation was quite scary. Mocha told that he had gone to cover this rally in which Khalistan supporters had gathered. During this, he saw that these people were openly praising violence and saying provocative things against India.

'These people praise Indira Gandhi's killers'

Mocha Bezirgan expressed deep concern over Khalistani extremism. She said, "This issue has become very political due to the tension between Canada and India, but we are ignoring the reality on the ground. These people are openly praising the killers of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. They say that we are her heirs and talk about ending the politics of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi like them. I asked them, will you end Modi's politics in the same way as Indira Gandhi's politics was ended?"

He said that these people call themselves descendants of Indira Gandhi's assassins and appreciate these acts of violence. Bezirgan said that he was shocked to hear all this and how some people are promoting violence in the name of freedom.

Sikhs for Justice exposed

Bezirgan said that this movement is being run by an organization called 'Sikhs for Justice' (SFJ). He said, "These people organize the rallies. Mostly the same faces are seen, whether it is Ontario, British Columbia, America, Britain or New Zealand. These people call people from local gurdwaras to gather the crowd. But there are also big political organizations behind this, like the Canada-based Vishwa Sikh Organization, which has a history full of controversies."

The Canadian journalist further said that the World Sikh Organization provides political cover for these activities in Canada. Bezirgan believes that the tension between Canada and India is giving more air to this issue, but ignoring these activities happening on the ground can be dangerous.

What did the Canadian journalist say about the Khalistani threat to Indira Gandhi and PM Modi?

The journalist warned that this attitude of Khalistani supporters has become a cause of concern. They are not only promoting violence but are also raising provocative slogans against India.

Bezirgan said, "These people talk about ending the politics of the Prime Minister of India on forums like G-7. This is not just a talk of freedom, but a conspiracy to promote violence."

He also said that the incident that happened with him in Vancouver was not a coincidence. He says that this shows how low some people can stoop to suppress their voice. Bezirgan finally said that he is not going to be intimidated by such threats and will continue to bring out the truth.
