During the promotion of the film, Kareena had talked about her experience of working with Akshaye Khanna and said, “I have seen 'Himalaya Putra' at least 20 times because at that time I was in school and Akshaye Khanna was the favourite of the girls. All of them were crazy about him and I was one of them. It felt as if Akshaye Khanna was shouting - 'I am a virgin, I am a virgin, oh my god Akshaye Khanna', such was the atmosphere. That's why I have always liked Akshaye.”
Sharing her opinion further, Kareena described Akshaye Khanna as cute and a wonderful person. She added that he is a brilliant actor.
