The film has completed its second week in theaters, and its collections show no signs of slowing down. The Kannada period drama opened to overwhelmingly positive reviews and continues to maintain its strong foothold.

How amazing is the film in worldwide collection?

The film collected ₹61.85 crore on its first day. On the second day, it earned ₹45.4 crore and on the third day, ₹55 crore. Thus, the film collected ₹337.4 crore in its first week. The film has completed its second week at the box office, collecting ₹147.85 crore. This brings the film's total domestic box office collection to ₹485.25 crore. The film is now on its way to close in on the ₹500 crore mark at the domestic box office in India. While earnings declined during the weekdays, the film is expected to perform better during the upcoming Diwali holidays.

The film is also making impressive collections worldwide. Kaantara Chapter 1 has grossed ₹717.50 crore worldwide in just two weeks. The makers shared this information on Twitter.

Kaantara Chapter 1 left these films behind

Kaantara Chapter 1 has become the 20th highest-grossing Indian film of all time. The film has now surpassed Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2's lifetime collection of ₹691.08 crore. Earlier, it had surpassed recent blockbusters like Salman Khan's 'Sultan' (₹628 crore), SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' (₹650 crore), Rajinikanth's 'Jailor' (₹605 crore) and Vijay's 'Leo' (₹606 crore). It remains to be seen when Kaantara manages to do the same.
