News Topical, Digital Desk : A commotion erupted in the Gangapol area of the old city of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, when a Sheetla Mata temple, housed in a house, was demolished on Friday evening. Hindu organizations, along with Hawa Mahal MLA Swami Balmukund, arrived at the scene and objected to the demolition.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a large police force arrived at the scene and pacified the crowd. MLA Balmukund filed a complaint demanding action against those who demolished the temple. Meanwhile, the homeowner cited the building's dilapidated condition. He also stated that the idols were not destroyed but had already been moved to a new house.

The temple is on private land.

In fact, this Shitla Mata temple was located on private land in the Gangapol area. The people of the area held deep faith in this temple. Some time ago, the landowner sold the entire building to a man from another community. The owner cited the building's dilapidated condition.

MLA told the conspiracy

Swami Balmukund Acharya, BJP MLA from the Hawa Mahal constituency in Jaipur city, also reached the spot. He said that Hindu places of worship are being razed to the ground as part of a conspiracy. This will not be tolerated at all. He demanded action against those who demolished the temple.

Anger among the people of the area

Locals said the temple was a center of faith for the entire area. However, the homeowner maintains that his temple was private and that locals didn't visit, but only members of his own family performed the puja. When he sold the house, he moved his idols to his new home, so no one should be inconvenienced.
