News Topical, Digital Desk : US Ambassador Mike Huckabee said Israel has the right to expand its borders into significant parts of West Asia, a move condemned by 14 countries, including Pakistan.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson interviewed US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee. The discussion focused on Israel's geographical boundaries and historical territorial claims.

What did Huckabee say?

Carlson pointed out that the Bible verse refers to Israel's territory located between the Euphrates River in Iraq and the Nile River in Egypt. Huckabee responded, "If Israel were to take full control of it, that would be a good thing." However, as the controversy escalated, he stated that Israel does not want to expand its current territory and stressed that the nation has a right to security within its current jurisdiction.

Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit said that Haqabi's comments were illogical and irrational, contrary to the fundamental principles and established norms of diplomacy. They only serve to inflame emotions and inflame religious and national sentiments, especially at a time when countries are seeking ways to implement the Gaza ceasefire.

These countries protested

In a joint statement, the foreign ministries of Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria and Palestine called it dangerous and provocative.
