News Topical, Digital Desk : Israeli soldiers have fired on Palestinians going to get food in Gaza. 24 people were killed and dozens injured in this incident. This incident took place in the city of Rafah and the victims of the firing were going towards the center of the American organization GHF which distributes food items.
On Friday itself, the United Nations had reported that 798 men, women and children had been killed in incidents of firing on people who had come to collect food items in Gaza. Apart from these, 28 people were killed in other attacks by the Israeli army in Gaza on Saturday.
Israeli army continues attacks in Gaza
Israeli army attacks continue amidst efforts for ceasefire in Gaza. 28 people including four children are reported to have been killed in air strikes on Saturday. 13 people were killed in Deir al-Balah city while 15 people were killed in Khan Younis.
The Israeli army has said that in two days it targeted about 250 targets. Hamas used these targets to attack the Israeli army and fighters were hiding in some of these.

More than 57 thousand people have been killed so far in the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023. Before that, Hamas had attacked Israeli cities and killed about 1,200 people and forcibly brought 251 people to Gaza and took them hostage.
Another ceasefire proposal is being worked on in Gaza
Of these, 50 hostages are still in the custody of Hamas, out of which only 20 are likely to be alive. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has said that another proposal for ceasefire in Gaza is being worked on and both the parties are likely to agree on it.
