News Topical, Digital Desk : People use honey a lot. But they often wonder how to determine its purity. Because it's often difficult to determine whether store-bought honey is real or fake. So, today we've brought you some great tips to help you distinguish between real and fake honey.

Test by dissolving it in water: Fill a glass with water and add a teaspoon of honey. If the honey is genuine, it will slowly settle into the water and form a thick solution. However, if the honey is fake, it will dissolve immediately.

Burn it: Tie dry cotton to a matchstick, apply honey to it, and light it. If it burns, it indicates pure honey quality. Adulterated honey may not burn properly, which can affect its quality and taste.

Identify with vinegar: Vinegar is so hard that it can react with anything and melt it. Take a teaspoon of honey and add a few drops of vinegar to it. If it begins to steam and changes color, it's likely unpure. If the honey remains unchanged and remains as it is, it's likely real honey.

Identify it by applying it to bread: Honey is so thick that it can stay on bread for a long time. It's similar to jam sticking to bread. However, if the bread starts to absorb the honey or becomes soggy, it's not pure. This sogginess is actually sugar adulterated in the honey. So, this is how you can tell if the honey is real or fake.

Honey crystallization : The crystallization of honey is a natural process that serves as a testament to its purity. This is caused by the natural sugars in honey separating over time or at cold temperatures and forming crystals. Crystallized honey is still safe to eat and retains its nutritional value.
