Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian claimed in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson that Israel had tried to assassinate him. He said that he was in a meeting when the area was bombed. This attack took place during the recent Iran-Israel war.
Israel held responsible
The President also said that America had no role in this attack. He directly blamed Israel for this.
On June 13, Israel launched an unprecedented attack against Iran, killing several top military officials and nuclear scientists. The attack took place just as the US and Iran were about to begin talks on a nuclear deal.

Pezeshkian said that Iran wants to start nuclear talks with the US again, but for that, trust must be restored. He asked that when talks start, how can it be ensured that Israel will not be allowed to attack again?

He said that if the US lifts sanctions on Iran, American investors would be welcomed. He appealed to US President Trump to lead the region towards peace and not war.
