In this connection, a special ritual was performed at Neelkanth Mahadev temple located in Sodalala area of ​​Jaipur on Wednesday. Under this, the priest of the temple performed puja sitting in the snow and requested Indradev to rain drops of relief. This special ritual performed in the temple is called Prajnaya Maha Yagya. The people involved in it have to perform the ritual while sitting in cold water. According to beliefs, very positive results are seen from this ritual.

In this special ritual held on Wednesday in the temple, four priests of the temple were doing Japa Tapasya while sitting in the ice cold water stored in a big vessel, while the rest of the priests and a large number of women devotees were worshipping Lord Bholenath seated in the form of Neelkanth by performing Yagya and Havan in front. This Prajnaya Yagya is traditionally organized in this temple every year by councilor and advocate Karan Sharma. This ritual of sitting in ice cold water is very difficult.

This program of Prajnaya Mahayagya and Jal Utsav was conducted by eleven Vedic Brahmins under the leadership of Pandit Purushottam Gaur. According to Councilor Karan Sharma, the host of this special ritual for rain, the people of Rajasthan are very troubled by the scorching heat at this time. In such a situation, in the ritual performed today, prayers have been offered to Lord Bholenath and Indradev to send the monsoon as soon as possible and to bring sufficient rain, so that people can get relief from the heat.
