News Topical, Digital Desk : Pakistan tried to attack 36 places with 300-400 drones in 210 minutes on the night of 8 May. This attack by Pakistan was done by targeting states like Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat. Pakistan carried out this drone attack between 8 pm and 11:30 pm. Indian armed forces gave a befitting reply to this.

India's air defence systems destroyed these drones before they could cause any damage to Indian soil. These include the Russian-made S-400 and the indigenous Akash system. Only one drone hit the Jammu civil airport. The Indian Army retaliated strongly and sent its drones to Islamabad, Lahore and Sialkot.

India's befitting reply The confrontation between India and Pakistan came after India said on Thursday that it carried out drone attacks in Pakistan in response to Pakistan's attempt to target military installations in northern and western India on the night of May 7-8. The Defence Ministry said on Thursday, "These attacks were foiled by the Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence System. Debris of these attacks is being recovered from several places, which is evidence of Pakistani attacks." The ministry further said, "This morning (May 9), Indian armed forces targeted air defence radars and systems at several places in Pakistan. India's response was the same in the same area and intensity as Pakistan. According to credible information, one air defence system was destroyed in Lahore."
