News Topical, Digital Desk : On April 22, 2025, terrorists massacred 26 innocent people in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Blood was spilled all over Pahalgam, renowned for its natural beauty, and cries and cries were heard that day.

On the eve of the first anniversary of this heinous attack, the Indian Army commemorated Operation Sindoor in a post on the social media site X. The Army wrote, "When the limits of humanity are crossed, the response is decisive. Justice has been served. India stands united." It was accompanied by a graphic that read, “Some limits must never be crossed. India does not forget.”

Action was taken against Pakistan

Following the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India took decisive action against Pakistan through Operation Sindoor. The Indian Army attacked terrorist bases in Pakistan and occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Nine major terrorist launchpads were destroyed and hideouts belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen were targeted.

More than 100 terrorists were killed in this military operation. The two countries then engaged in a four-day conflict, and after suffering heavy losses, Pakistan's Director General of Police (DGMO) called India's DGMO and requested a ceasefire. An agreement was reached between the two sides on May 10th.

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi praised Operation Sindoor, calling it a fine example of synergy between the three services under clear political directives. Addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on Independence Day 2025, Prime Minister Modi also announced 'Mission Sudarshan Chakra', aimed at thwarting enemy infiltration and enhancing India's offensive capabilities.
