Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was shot in the neck and killed on September 10th. Kirk was addressing a gathering at Utah Valley University when 22-year-old Tyler Robinson opened fire from a rooftop. Robinson is charged with murder. If convicted, he could face death by firing squad.

According to NDTB, on September 21st, following the murder of Charlie Kirk, Elon Musk attended Kirk's memorial service in Arizona, where he described the conservative figure as a powerful speaker. Musk condemned those who celebrated the shooting on social media. He called online celebrations of the killing "evil" and accused those praising the attack of supporting a cold-blooded murder.
Earlier, US President Trump had said regarding Kirk's murder that Kirk was violently murdered because he raised his voice for freedom and justice, for God and country, for logic and common sense. He praised 31-year-old Kirk, calling him a legend of his generation and a martyr.
