During this time, worship and rituals are performed like Sharadiya Navratri. Different types of rituals are performed in these nine days to get the blessings of Maa Durga.

There are a total of four Navratris in a year, out of which Chaitra Navratri and Sharadiya Navratri are celebrated with great pomp. But, there are two occasions of worshiping Goddess Durga, in which the worship is done secretly. These are known as Gupt Navratri (Gupt Navratri June 2025).

Worship in this way during Gupt Navratri

Keep the house pure. After cleaning the whole house, clean the court thoroughly and decorate it with red flowers for the worship of Maa Durga in the temple and do the worship regularly during these nine days.

If you wish, you can fast for the entire 9 days. If you cannot do this, then at least fasting on the first and the last day will be beneficial.

Just like Chaitra and Sharada Navratri, on Gupt Navratri also, light the akhand jyoti in the house to seek blessings of Durga. This jyoti should burn for 9 days which will fill the house with the power of the goddess and positive energy.

Reciting Durga Saptashati brings special benefits in Navratri, it brings the grace of the Goddess and the body gets all kinds of positive energies, blessings of the Mother Goddess remain with it.

There is also a provision for charity during Navratri. Fruits, grains, clothes, money and Dakshina should be donated to the needy people. Especially on Ashtami or Navami day, after Kanya Poojan, Dakshina should be given to small girls after the meal.
