Her torso and head were found 50 meters apart. The woman was a resident of this village and was brutally murdered. The Samajwadi Party (SP) has criticized this murder in Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath 's hometown. SP leaders have questioned the state government and law and order situation following the murder.

Sensation spread in the area after a decapitated body was found

The discovery of a woman's decapitated body in Bhuidharpur village, under the PPganj police station area of ​​Gorakhpur, on Friday caused a sensation. The murderer had killed her and then discarded her torso. Police recovered the head of the deceased a short distance from the torso. A crowd of villagers gathered at the scene identified the woman as 60-year-old Kalavati Devi. 

The deceased, Kalavati, had left home on Thursday (September 25) afternoon to get medicine. Her body was found outside the village at 6 a.m. on Friday (September 26). The body was found 500 meters away from her home. Villagers who were out for a walk at 6 a.m. noticed the body and informed family members and the police. Upon receiving the information, the Superintendent of Police (North), the Commissioner of Police (Campierganj), and police forces arrived at the scene.

What did the SP say on the incident?

Gorakhpur's Superintendent of Police (North), Jitendra Kumar Srivastava, stated that a woman's body was recovered from a field in a village in the PPganj police station area. She had been murdered by slitting her throat. He, along with other officers and police officers, arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation. 

Neighboring villagers have been questioned in this case. A murder case is being registered based on the family's complaint. Based on suspicion, a suspect has been detained and is being questioned. 

The woman's body was sent for post-mortem.

Forensic teams collected evidence from the scene. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. The woman's husband, Darshan Yadav, is already deceased. Her two sons, Rajesh Yadav and Jitendra Yadav, are married. Police have questioned the deceased's two sons and villagers. 

SP leader attacked the murder

The Samajwadi Party (SP) has targeted the BJP government in a tweet from its Twitter handle regarding this sensational murder incident in Gorakhpur. They wrote, "Crime is unstoppable in Chief Minister Gorakhpur. Criminals are constantly committing crimes, and these criminals are protected by the BJP government and the police. The discovery of a woman's decapitated body in Gorakhpur is extremely horrific and raises serious questions about law and order."
