Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad has urged that the picture of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution and the architect of modern India, should be mandatorily put up in all the courts of the country, Supreme Court, High Court and subordinate courts.
What did the Bhim Army chief say in the letter?
Chandrashekhar Azad said in his letter that Baba Saheb gave us the Constitution, on the foundation of which the judiciary stands and which gave every citizen the right to equality, freedom and justice. He wrote in his tweet, "I have written a letter to Chief Justice Bhushan Ramakrishna Gavai requesting to put the picture of the creator of the Indian Constitution, the architect of modern India, the liberator of the oppressed and women, the symbol of knowledge, Vishwa Ratna Param Pujya Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar ji in all the courts of India."
He said that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was not only a great scholar of jurisprudence but also a guide for the independence of the judiciary and equal justice system. In such a situation, the judiciary is incomplete without honoring his contribution.
The MP has made three main points in the letter –
- Baba Saheb Ambedkar's picture should be installed in all the courts of India.
- This step will symbolize the impartiality of the judiciary, its commitment to constitutional values and social justice.
- By installing the picture, the message will be conveyed to the oppressed and deprived class that the court is not only the protector of the law but also of the ideas of the constitution maker.
Chandrashekhar Azad believes that this step will enhance the dignity of the judiciary as well as strengthen the democratic and constitutional traditions of the country. His letter has become a topic of discussion in social and political circles and it is being considered an important initiative towards social justice in the judicial system.
