News Topical, Digital Desk : FIIs Data Today: On Monday, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) made net sales of ₹2,589.47 crores in the Indian stock market, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) made purchases worth ₹5,313.76 crores. These figures are provisional.

Despite the selling by foreign investors, strong buying by domestic investors is balancing the market. Experts say that the buying by DIIs is supporting the market, which is considered a positive sign among investors.

What happened in the month of May? Foreign investors have invested Rs 19,860 crore in the month of May, showing continued confidence in the country's stock market. Which has been possible due to improvement in global economic indicators and strong domestic bases. This positive trend comes after a net investment of Rs 4,223 crore in April, as shown by depository data. Earlier, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) had withdrawn Rs 3,973 crore in March, Rs 34,574 crore in February and a huge amount of Rs 78,027 crore in January. 

What was the trend last month? In May 2025, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have made a net purchase of Rs 11,773.25 crore in the Indian stock market. FIIs also registered net purchases of ₹2,735.02 crore in April 2025 and ₹2,014.18 crore in March 2025. However, before this, continuous selling was seen in January and February 2025, where there was a net sale of ₹87,374.66 crore in January and ₹58,988.08 crore in February. In December 2024 also, FIIs made net sales of ₹16,982.45 crore. In recent months, the market is witnessing a positive trend due to the purchases by foreign investors.
