News Topical, Digital Desk : The capital market segment witnessed mixed trading activity among FIIs and DIIs on February 6, 2026. According to available data, while FIIs remained net buyers, DIIs were net sellers in the market.

According to data from the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), DIIs bought ₹12,005.98 crore and sold ₹13,151.75 crore. Thus, DIIs' net investment was recorded as selling ₹1,145.77 crore. Meanwhile, FIIs bought ₹15,942.32 crore and sold ₹14,105.74 crore, making them net buyers of ₹1,836.58 crore.

Taking the NSE, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), and MSEI together, DIIs' total purchases were ₹13,215.74 crore and selling was ₹14,480.80 crore. Thus, DIIs made a net sale of ₹1,265.06 crore. On the other hand, FIIs sold ₹14,767.89 crore against purchases of ₹16,718.66 crore, making them net buyers of ₹1,950.77 crore. 

Market Impact : According to experts, consistent FII buying has been a support for the market, while DII selling has certainly exerted some pressure. Overall, the positive sentiment of foreign investors appears to be helping to maintain balanced market sentiment.
