Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) made a tremendous comeback in the Indian stock markets in the third week of April. Foreign investors have made tremendous purchases in the last short week. Foreign investors have invested more than ₹8,500 crore in just two days. This investment has been made at a time when there was a huge sell-off at the beginning of the month. Earlier this week, on April 15, FPIs had withdrawn ₹2,352 crore, but in the following two trading days, they made a massive investment of ₹10,824 crore.Experts believe that India's strong domestic economy, relative safety from the global trade war and growing investor confidence have prompted FPIs to return. This investment indicates that foreign investors are confident about the long-term prospects of the Indian market.
