News Topical, Digital Desk : The film Pushpa released last year is one of the most successful franchises in India. The first part of the film was named Pushpa: The Rise and the second part was named Pushpa: The Rule. This Allu Arjun starrer film broke all records at the box office.

Fahadh Faasil played the character of Bhanwar Singh

The credit for the success of this action film goes to Allu Arjun's charismatic screen presence, but amidst all this, you cannot forget Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat i.e. Fahadh Faasil who was seen in the role of the villain. But did you know that Fahadh Faasil was not the first choice for the role of the police officer?

The actor himself had admitted this

Nara Rohit was initially supposed to play Bhanwar Singh in the film. He himself had given this information in an interview. In an interview to M9 News, Rohit recalled discussing this important role with Pushpa director Sukumar and said, "I had posted some pictures with a moustache during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ravi (Shankar) garu first approached me and so did Sukumar garu. Then the duration of the film changed and they felt that Fahadh was right for this role. But they had approached me first.

Nara praised himself as Fahad

Nara Rohit said that he definitely wanted to play the role of Shekhawat in Pushpa, but he is not sure if he would have been able to play the character like Fahadh Faasil did. The actor said, “I don't know if I would have been able to play the character the way he did. Maybe, if I was on that set, I could have played it. But after seeing Fahadh, I thought, okay. It was really great.”

Fahad was not happy with his acting

Interestingly, Fahadh Faasil had admitted in an old interview that he was not impressed with his role in the Pushpa franchise. The actor had said, "I don't think Pushpa did anything for me. I have told this to Sukumar sir. I don't need to hide it. I should be honest." Nevertheless, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat is one of the most different characters in the Pushpa franchise.
