News Topical, Digital Desk : Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that he will hold talks with US President Donald Trump later this month on the second phase of the Gaza peace plan.

A ceasefire in Gaza, under the peace plan, came into effect on October 10. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who is visiting Israel, also stressed the need to implement the second phase of the peace plan and has spoken about holding talks with Trump.

Netanyahu will not leave politics

Meanwhile, Netanyahu has said that even if he gets a presidential pardon from corruption cases, he will not leave politics.

Responding to a question, Netanyahu said, "The issue of annexing the West Bank is under discussion. The government has not yet made a final decision on this matter." It is worth noting that Israel's plan to annex the Palestinian-majority West Bank was publicly disclosed, sparking strong protests worldwide.
