Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina's film 'Jigra' is in the news. Dharma Productions has left no stone unturned in the promotions for the upcoming film. Be it the posters or the song releases, the makers have created a lot of excitement for 'Jigra'. To further increase the curiosity, now Dharma has finally shared the official trailer of the film. Alia and Vedang are seen playing siblings in the film and the 'Gully Boy' actress is seen protecting her younger brother in the trailer of 'Jigra'.

The story is going to be something like this

The 'Jigra' trailer begins with Alia Bhatt making a phone call. She tries to get hold of her brother through that phone call. However, her situation gets worse when he is sentenced to jail. Later, she is seen getting trained in martial arts and physical skills to break into a Korean prison and bring her brother back. Alia Bhatt recently appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show to promote her film along with Vedang Raina and producer Karan Johar. Apart from this, she was also seen talking to Jr NTR on the release of 'Deevra: Part 1' and 'Jigra'. 

Alia told the story of signing the film

On both occasions, Alia Bhatt talked about signing a film like 'Jigra'. The actor said that the reason behind signing the film was her maternal feelings. Alia said, 'When Jigra came to me, I was feeling very protective of Raha. I felt that I had to do everything to keep her safe and the theme of Jigra is somewhat similar, where I am trying to protect my brother who is no less than a child for my character.'

'Jigra' will compete with this film

Directed by Vasan Bala, 'Jigra' also stars Vedang Raina and is scheduled to release in theatres on October 11. The film traces the journey of Alia's character who takes extraordinary steps to get her brother out of jail. It is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt and Soumen Mishra. Jigra will clash with Rajkummar Rao and Tripati Dimri starrer 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video'.
