The Bombay High Court on Thursday heard the case of Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency'. The bench sought full information on the matter from the Censor Board of Film Certification. However, the CBFC, while giving information, said that they had asked the makers to make several cuts in the film, which have not been done yet. In such a situation, they are not able to give a release date to the film. In fact, Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency' had already approached the Bombay High Court regarding the delay in its release date. The matter started when the makers of the film could not get their film certified by the Censor Board. Later, the CBFC had asked for three cuts in Kangana's film. Currently, the Censor Board is adamant on its words. In such a situation, the producers have asked for some time to make the necessary changes. They say that they would like to see if those cuts are possible in 'Emergency'.

What did the court say earlier?

In the last several hearings, the Bombay High Court had asked the CBFC to take a decision in this matter as soon as possible. In today's hearing, the Censor Board told the court that the Revising Committee Bench of the Censor Board has asked for some cuts in the film. In such a situation, the studio on whose behalf the petition was filed in the Bombay High Court sought time from the court to ensure whether the suggested cuts can be made or not. The Bombay High Court has postponed the matter till Monday.

The film was to be released on this day

Let us tell you that Kangana's directorial film 'Emergency' was earlier scheduled to release on September 6. However, a few days before the release of the film, the makers of 'Emergency' appealed to the Bombay High Court seeking certification for their film. In its decision, the High Court said that it cannot direct the censor board to give a certificate as it would be contrary to the decision of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. The Madhya Pradesh court directed the CBFC to hear the representation of Sikh groups who had filed a petition before it.
