New Delhi. The film Stree 2 has surprised everyone with its success. The film crossed the 400 crore mark worldwide in the first week of its release and is now slowly moving towards 500 crore.
Apart from Rajkumar Rao, his two friends Abhishek Banerjee and Ayushmann Khurana also have important roles in Stree 2. Abhishek Banerjee has played the character of Jana in both parts of the film, which is quite funny. The audience is liking to watch it again and again. Recently, in an interview, the actor talked about his role.
People start to associate you with one character
In an interview with News18 Showsha, Banerjee said that the actor had gone into depression after Stree was released in 2018. The actor said that Jana was definitely a big break for him but after this, he started being stereotyped for comedy roles.
The actor said, "After Jana, I started getting similar roles. Everyone wanted me to wear colourful, bright clothes and talk like this. Jana is just a character and I am very close to it. But that doesn't mean I am like this in real life. After this, I did Dream Girl and Bala, after which people thought that I am a comic character."
Abhishek started living in depression
Abhishek further said, I became very depressed during Corona. I felt that now everyone will judge me on one character only, but I am thankful to Sudeep Sharma who offered me the role of Hathora Tyagi in Paatal Lok. He had thought of this role for me just after seeing Stree.
