New Delhi: Aamir Khan is one such actor of Hindi cinema who puts his heart and soul into any character. He is ready to do anything to bring out the real face of his role. He did something similar for the movie Lagaan.
Lagaan , released in 2001, was the third highest grossing film of that year. This film was directed and written by Ashutosh Gowariker, but produced by Aamir Khan himself. At that time, he spent so much money to make the film that it became the most expensive film of that era.
Viral video from the sets of Lagaan
Recently, a video from the sets of Lagaan has been shared from the Instagram handle of Aamir Khan Productions in which Ashutosh is seen telling an anecdote related to the film. Actually, Aamir Khan was in a dilemma about the movie Lagaan, set against the background of British rule in India. He felt that most men in that era kept moustaches, but the director's demand was not to keep moustaches.
Aamir was troubled because of his moustache
In the video shared, Aamir Khan can be seen shaving his beard. He purposely left the moustache so that he could show it to Ashutosh. The actor said, "I am going to show it to Ashu and then come back and remove it."
"Aamir was seriously concerned about his moustache or rather the lack of moustache," says Ashutosh in the background. Aamir felt that there was no one without a moustache in those days. Anyway, the director praised his perfectionist behavior.
Aamir had to shave every day
In the video, Aamir Khan is also seen telling how he had to shave every day. The actor said, "There is no rain, there is no food and he is shaving." Ashutosh told that Aamir used to come to him to show different types of moustache. At the end of the clip, Aamir can be seen wearing a moustache and speaking his dialogue in character. The director did not like this look of his and he advised the actor to keep a clean shave.
