News Topical, Digital Desk : Divya Khosla, who has directed films like 'Yaariyan' and 'Sanam Re', is now trying her hand at acting. She was seen in the role of a girl living in a slum in the recently released film 'Ek Chatur Naar'. Divya says, ‘Whether it is direction or acting, I give my hundred percent in whatever I do. As an artist, it is also important that you choose challenging roles for yourself. Only then can you prove yourself by working beyond your limits. Before signing any project, I listen to the entire story of the film. I found the story of this film very interesting that there is a new twist every seven minutes.’

What is the story of a clever woman?

The story of the film revolves around the loss of a mobile phone. In today's time, mobile phones have become an important part of our lives. On the use of phones, Divya says, 'I think a time will come when the phone will rule us. We are getting so used to it that one day we may not even know what is happening in our lives. The phone will tell us that too. That is why caution is necessary in the use of the phone. (Laughs) I not only check my phone but also others' phones and find out their information as well.'

The actress made this request to Mukesh Bhatt

Talking about getting a good opportunity for herself in the future, Divya says, 'This happened during the film 'Saavi'. When I came to know that Bhatt Sir (Mukesh Bhatt) has such a script, I told him that sir please give me a chance. Its original film 'Anything For Her' had a male actor in the lead. Then I requested him to give the lead character to an actress. The interesting thing is that the same thing was going on in his mind. He was also thinking of making it a woman centric film.

Ek Chatur Naar released in theatres on 12th September and stars Divya Khosla Kumar and Neil Nitin Mukesh. It is directed by Umesh Shukla and the story is written by Himanshu Tripathi.
