Mimi has been asked to appear at the ED headquarters in Delhi on September 15 and Urvashi on September 16.

According to India Today, ED sources confirmed the news, saying, "Both have been asked to appear at the ED office in the 1xBet app case." The development is part of the ongoing investigation into the 1xBet case, where the financial crime probing agency has already questioned several actors and cricketers. The agency is investigating several cases related to illegal betting apps that are accused of defrauding several people and investors of crores of rupees or evading huge amounts of tax.

In this case, the ED may question Chakraborty about his alleged involvement with 1xBet. 1xBet is an online betting platform accused of money laundering and tax evasion. The agency is investigating several high-profile individuals, including cricketer Suresh Raina, for their alleged links with the platform.

The central government has recently brought a law banning real money online gaming. According to estimates by market analysis firms and investigative agencies, there are about 22 crore Indian users of various such online betting apps, half of whom (about 11 crore) are regular users. According to experts, the market of online betting apps in India is more than US $ 100 billion, which is growing at a rate of 30 percent.
