News Topical, Digital Desk : According to the Vedic calendar, Tuesday, September 30th is Maha Ashtami of Sharadiya Navratri. This festival is celebrated on the Ashtami Tithi (eighth day) of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) of the month of Ashwin (Ashwin). On this auspicious occasion, the Goddess of the Universe, Maa Durga, is worshipped and revered. A fast on Ashtami is observed to obtain desired blessings.
Religious belief holds that worshipping Goddess Durga bestows all material comforts upon a devotee. Furthermore, desires are fulfilled. If you also wish to overcome the sorrows in your life, worship Goddess Durga with devotion on Maha Ashtami. Also, recite the Durga Chalisa during your worship.
