Now, he's gearing up for Drishyam 3 and has announced the start of shooting on social media. The actor has shared a special post regarding this matter. Let's take a look at his latest post. 

Shooting of Drishyam 3 begins

Dadasaheb Phalke Award-winning Malayalam film actor Mohanlal has begun shooting for his most popular franchise, Drishyam 3. On Monday, he shared a photo of himself performing puja on the set on his official X handle. He is returning to his iconic role of George Kutty.

In the photos, Mohanlal is seen holding the film's clapboard and lighting a lamp while performing a puja with the team. He captioned it, "Back to the world of George Kutty once again. Today, Drishyam 3 begins with a puja." Drishyam was released in 2013. The film was so well-received that it was subsequently remade in several languages.

This film, titled Drishyam in Hindi, stars Ajay Devgn as Mohanlal's character. It is being developed as a franchise in Hindi as well. Now, the franchise is also set to be made in Korean, directed by Korean filmmaker Deok Noh. She previously received critical acclaim for her romantic comedy film, Very Ordinary Couple.

Mohanlal to receive Dadasaheb Phalke Award

The awards for the 71st edition of the National Film Awards will be presented on Tuesday, September 23rd, at Vigyan Bhawan in the capital, Delhi. Mohanlal will be honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. His prize money will be approximately 10 lakh rupees. As an actor, receiving this special honor is a significant achievement for him.
