Varanasi. After the third consecutive big victory, the first visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his parliamentary constituency will be dedicated to the farmers. On this day, the Prime Minister will launch many schemes related to farmer welfare and will also provide the benefits of the already running schemes to the beneficiaries.

While interacting with farmers, the Prime Minister will transfer the next installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi to the accounts of farmers across the country and will also launch the Kisan Digital Credit Card, which will provide relief to farmers from the hassle of visiting banks.

The Prime Minister will arrive on the evening of June 18 and will interact with the farmers at the Kisan Sammelan to be held in Mehdiganj. On the same day, the next installment of Rs 2000 will be sent to the accounts of crores of farmers of the country under DBT. From the year 2019 till now, 2,74,615 farmers have benefited from PM Samman Nidhi in the Prime Minister's parliamentary constituency Varanasi alone.

Under this, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year is provided to farmers. So far, more than Rs 692.21 crore has reached the accounts of Varanasi farmers. The Prime Minister will also launch Kisan Digital Credit Card on the same day.

Kisan Digital Credit Cards are available online. Farmers can use them to transact online. They are similar to traditional credit or debit cards with card numbers, CVV and validity dates but are available online only.

After the Kisan Digital Credit Card is made, farmers will not have to visit banks to get crop loan etc. They will also not have to face the hassle of repeated paperwork, submission of documents etc. Farmers will get the loan sanctioned from home and will also be able to make installment payments etc.
