Four MLAs have been appointed as members of this committee: Abhay Kumar Verma from Laxmi Nagar, Chandan Kumar Chaudhary from Sangam Vihar, Sandeep Sehrawat from Matiala, and Deepak Chaudhary from Badli. 'Chhath Puja is now the identity of Delhi'

Minister Kapil Mishra said, "Chhath Puja is not just a festival of the people of Purvanchal, but has now become the identity of Delhi. This festival is a symbol of our collective faith and unity. He said that previous governments had done injustice to the devotees of Chhathi Maiya, but this time the form of Chhath Puja in Delhi will change completely. We will ensure that every devotee gets the opportunity to worship in a clean and safe environment."

More than 1,000 Chhath Ghats will be built in Delhi.

He said that this time Chhath Puja will be celebrated at over a thousand locations across Delhi. In addition to the Yamuna banks, the Munak Canal and artificial ponds are also being prepared as places of worship. The government has directed all departments to ensure timely cleaning of the ghats, water sprinkling, lighting, and traffic management. Temporary medical centers will also be set up for devotees.

It is worth noting that Chhath Puja is a major festival dedicated to the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya, which lasts for four days. This festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Bihar, Jharkhand, eastern Uttar Pradesh, and now also in Delhi. Millions of Purvanchal residents live in Delhi, who express their faith by offering prayers to the setting and rising sun every year at the Yamuna ghats.

Delhiites should cooperate in cleanliness drive.

Minister Kapil Mishra said that just as the Kanwar Yatra was conducted safely and peacefully during the month of Sawan, Chhath Puja will also be celebrated in a grand manner. He appealed to the people of Delhi to maintain discipline, cooperate with cleanliness, and together make this great festival a celebration of unity and devotion.
