Where is Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple?
In the land of gods, Uttarakhand, there is Daksheshwar temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is in Kankhal, Uttarakhand, which is also called the in-laws' house of Lord Shiva. In simple words, the maternal home of Mata Sati was in Kankhal. For this, Kankhal is also called the in-laws' house of Lord Shiva. By worshipping Lord Shiva in this temple, every wish of the devotee is fulfilled as soon as possible.
History of the temple
It is contained in the Sanatan scriptures that in ancient times , Lord Shiva was married to Devi Sati, the daughter of King Daksha. King Daksha was not happy with the marriage. For this, King Daksha was always unhappy with Lord Shiva. It is said that King Daksha had organized a Maha Yagya at home.
Lord Shiva was not invited to this yagya. When Goddess Sati came to know about this, she insisted Lord Shiva to go to the yagya. Lord Shiva did not agree, but allowed Mata Sati to go. Mata Sati reached the yagya. There, after hearing the insult of her husband, Mata Sati sacrificed herself at the altar of the yagya.
Hearing this news, Lord Shiva became angry. After this, he sent his Ganas Veerbhadra and Bhadrakali to teach King Daksha a lesson. Veerbhadra killed King Daksha. At the same time, there was chaos in all three worlds due to the anger of Lord Shiva. Then Lord Vishnu and Brahma calmed the anger of Lord Shiva. At that time, Lord Shiva forgave King Daksha and gave him life. Every wish is fulfilled by seeing Lord Shiva in this temple.
