Therefore, on the day of Chitragupta Puja, pens, inkpots, and ledgers are worshipped.

Method of worship of Chitragupta ji
On the day of Chitragupta Puja, wake up early in the morning, bathe, and then clean the place of worship. Place an idol or picture of Chitragupta on the altar. Light a ghee lamp before Chitragupta and offer him Panchamrit. Also, offer turmeric, sandalwood paste, flowers, fruits, and sweets. Afterward, recite the Chitragupta Katha and perform aarti. Finally, distribute prasad to everyone.

When worshipping Chitragupta, be sure to sit with a pen, diary, or blank paper. During the puja, draw a swastika on the blank page with roli and ghee. Then, write "Shri Ganeshaya Namah" and "Om Chitraguptaaya Namah." Then, write the names of all the gods and goddesses on this paper. This brings the devotee the blessings of Chitragupta.
