During the puja on this day, do chant Pitru Mantra. It is believed that chanting mantras pleases the ancestors and one gets rid of all the problems of life.

Donating on the day of Jyeshtha Amavasya has special importance. In such a situation, donate black sesame seeds after worshiping on this day. According to the belief, donating black sesame seeds removes Pitra Dosh and the seeker gets auspicious results.
