New Delhi: To help elderly pensioners file their Digital Life Certificate (DLC), the Department of Posts will provide them services at their home. For this, the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare has decided to organize DLC campaigns in district headquarters and major cities across the country from November 1 to 30, 2024.

On September 12, 2024, Secretary, Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare, V. Srinivas held a meeting with Director General of Postal Services Sanjay Sharan, Deputy Director General of Postal Department Rajul Bhat, MD and CEO of India Post Payment Bank R. Vishwashesaran and others to finalize the format of DLC Campaign 3.0 in all district post offices.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Personnel, these post offices will coordinate with pensioner welfare associations, pension distributing banks, UIDAI and others to organize DLC Campaign 3.0 at district post offices. According to this, 'Jeevan Pramaan (or DLC) can be filed by pensioners at district post offices through face authentication from Android smart phone.' It also said, "The Postal Department will also deliver services to the elderly at their homes and will inform the pensioners to submit DLC as required."

According to the statement, extensive publicity will be done through banners, internet media, SMS and short videos to spread awareness about the DLC 3.0 campaign. UIDAI and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology will provide technical support in this. It is worth mentioning that in 2023, DLC Abhiyan 2.0 was organized in 100 cities and 1.45 crore pensioners had filed their DLCs.
