New Delhi: There are long queues for train tickets at the railway station. Indian Railways is taking several steps to reduce these queues. One of these is the UTS App. Yes, the Railways has launched the UTS App so that passengers do not face any problem in getting general tickets and platform tickets.

General and platform tickets can be booked within a few minutes through the UTS app. Many passengers have a question about UTS whether they get a refund on cancelling general ticket booking through it. Let us answer this question for you.

What will I get as a refund

According to the official website of Indian Railways, passengers can cancel tickets online in any situation. However, there are some conditions for cancelling offline i.e. paper tickets. If you have booked a ticket from the UTS app and have not printed it from the kiosk machine present at the station, then you can easily cancel it.

On the other hand, if you have taken a printout from the kiosk machine, then you will have to go to the UTS counter within an hour and cancel the ticket. In both these situations, passengers do not get a refund. This refund is not in cash, but is added on as a top-up in the UTS Wallet of the passengers. If it does not come in the wallet, then it is deposited in the bank account.
