Indian Railways is an example for the world

Whenever it comes to the largest rail network in the world, the name of Indian Railways definitely comes up. The network of Indian Railways has currently become more than 1.26 lakh kilometers. Crores of people travel every day through the Indian railway network. If we measure the distance covered by trains in India every day, then the total distance will be about 36.78 lakh kilometers. Now if we compare it with one revolution of the earth in space, then it will be equal to circling the earth 97 times. This means that Indian Railways covers a distance equivalent to circling around the earth 97 times every day.

Development of Indian Railways

Indian Railways has developed a lot since independence. The journey of Indian Railways from steam engine to Vande Bharat is quite unique. It is expected that this journey will be spectacular in the next five years. Vande Bharat is currently running on many routes in the country and in a few years Vande Bharat will start running on hilly areas as well.

Now hilly areas like Kashmir, Northeast and Ladakh are also being connected to the railway network. Apart from this, railway dedicated freight corridor is being constructed for economic development. Vande Bharat has an important role in the development of railways. It is an important lifeline for a large population of India.

In the coming few years, Indian Railways will be equipped with trains with world-class facilities and state-of-the-art technology. This means that railway passengers will get more convenient facilities.

Bullet train will run soon

Bullet trains are expected to run in India by the year 2026. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had reviewed the bullet train project and said that bullet trains can be seen running on the tracks of India by the year 2026. India's first bullet train will run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Today it takes six hours to travel between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. However, after the bullet train, this time will be halved.

Arch bridge is an achievement

An arch bridge has been built on the Chenab river in India. This bridge was constructed under the USBRL project. The Arch Bridge and Anji Bridge present a unique example of engineering. Kashmir has been successfully connected to the rail network due to the Arch Bridge. Through the Arch Bridge, the countrymen will be able to easily reach Kashmir by train.

Along with expanding its network, Indian Railways is also working for the safety of passengers. For this, Indian Railways is using modern technology to prevent train collisions on 118 km of railway track near the capital Delhi and 1175 km of railway track in other divisions. The name of this technology is 'Kavach', it will be successful in preventing train accidents.
