News Topical, Digital Desk : There's great news for Sunny Deol fans. After the tremendous success of Border and Border 2, the franchise is all set for its next installment, Border 3. Producer Bhushan Kumar recently confirmed that Border 3 has been greenlit and will be directed by Border 2 director Anurag Singh.
Makers put their seal on Border 3
During an interview, Bhushan Kumar talked about a separate film he's developing with Anurag Kashyap. Bhushan said, “We're doing a joint venture (a separate film) with his company and my company. He'll direct it, and it'll be something new. Border 3 will also happen in due course.”
The producer then confirmed that Border 3 has been greenlit. Bhushan Kumar said, "Obviously, it's such a huge franchise. Anurag has worked very hard to recreate it. If you bring something back after almost 30 years and it's getting so much love, we'll definitely take it forward."
Border 2 is wreaking havoc at the box office.
Meanwhile, Border 2 is making strong box office collections. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 stars Sunny Deol in the lead role, alongside Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. The film is produced by T-Series and JP Films, continuing the legacy of the 1997 classic Border. The film has received mostly positive reviews.
The film has earned ₹180 crore at the domestic box office so far, with the highest earnings coming on Republic Day. On that day, the film earned ₹59 crore, bringing its total collection to ₹180 crore. Worldwide, the film has surpassed the ₹200 crore mark, earning ₹239.4 crore worldwide.
