News Topical, Digital Desk : BJP MLA Arvind Pandey from Gadarpur in Udham Singh Nagar district appears to be embroiled in controversy once again. A person has filed a complaint at the Bajpur police station, accusing the MLA and his associates of illegally occupying land and threatening to kill him. The complainant has urged the police to take strict action in the matter.

Complainant Sanjay Kumar Badal, son of Bahadur, a resident of Bajpur, stated in his complaint to the police that a portion of his land, located in village Mudiya Jeet, with Khasra number 20, was given to Jaiprakash Tiwari and the late Chaturanand Tiwari by mutual consent for maintenance and work. It is alleged that on July 20, 2025, he was summoned to the authority's office, where a show-cause notice was issued regarding new construction on the land, which was declared illegal.

What allegations did the victim make against the MLA in his complaint?

According to Sanjay Kumar, Devanand Pandey, Virendra Pandey, Amar Pandey, and others, who were already present at the scene, began arguing with him. Devanand Pandey allegedly threatened to kill him, claiming the land belonged to him and that he could build whatever he wanted on it. The complainant alleges that while threatening him, Devanand Pandey also said, "MLA Arvind Pandey is my brother, the government is ours," which further frightened him.

The complaint also alleges that Devanand Pandey and others threw photocopied documents at him, claiming the land belonged to them. When the complainant saw these documents, he suspected that Jaiprakash Tiwari, the late Chaturanand Tiwari, Devanand Pandey, Mohan Pandey, and Kisan Pandey had colluded to prepare a fake lease agreement to fraudulently usurp his land.

The victim demanded strict action against the accused.

The complainant has demanded that the police file a case against all the named accused, taking the necessary legal action. Meanwhile, the emergence of BJP MLA Arvind Pandey's name in this case has sparked heated discussions in political circles. Currently, the police say that the matter is being investigated based on the complaint and further action will be taken after the investigation.
