News Topical, Digital Desk : The Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged as the state's largest political party. The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) released its 2024-25 report on national political parties at the end of March. It analyzed data on donations of more than 20,000 rupees per individual or organization.

According to this, all political parties in the state received a total of ₹52.47 crore in donations. The BJP's share of this amount was 65 percent. The BJP received approximately ₹34 crore in donations in the last financial year. Meanwhile, the Congress's share was ₹16 crore. In comparison, the Aam Aadmi Party received ₹2.16 crore in donations.

For the 19th consecutive year, the Bahujan Samaj Party has declared in its affidavit to the Election Commission that it has not received donations exceeding ₹20,000 from any individual or organization. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) also received ₹3.57 lakh in donations in the state. The main opposition party, the Samajwadi Party (SP), is not included in this list because it is not a national party.

UP at 13th position
If we talk about the entire country, then Uttar Pradesh, which is called the hub of politics, is at 13th position (52.47 crores) in the list of all the states giving donations. Bihar, which is very important from political point of view, is at 28th position with Rs 1.34 crore donation. Uttarakhand is at 23rd position with Rs 3.22 crore. Among the various states, the country's capital Delhi (2,639.481 crores) is at the top. Maharashtra (2,438.86 crores) is at second place and Gujarat (309.177 crores) is at third place.
