News Topical, Digital Desk : A shocking case has emerged from Munger, Bihar. A girl who eloped with a Muslim man returned home to her family after nearly a week. On Tuesday (January 6, 2026), she appeared at the Munger court and stated that she wanted to stay with her family.
In fact, the woman had left home with her lover Niazul on December 30, 2025. Subsequently, in a video with vermilion in her hairline, she declared that she had married of her own free will and that this was not love jihad. Upon returning home on Tuesday, she underwent a purification ceremony at the Mahavir Temple. She also recited the Hanuman Chalisa.

According to reports, the girl had married a young man from her village, Mohammad Niazul, at the Arya Samaj Vedic Sanskar Trust in Delhi. The wedding took place on December 30th. Following the incident, the girl's family filed a complaint at the Safiasrai police station, accusing seven people of kidnapping her.
The girl then went to the Safiasrai police station wearing a burqa. The police informed her family. She was then medically examined at Sadar Hospital. She was presented before the Munger court on Tuesday for a statement, where she expressed her desire to live with her parents. The court released her to her parents and family.
The family took the girl to the Bada Mahavir Temple at the district headquarters, where she was purified. The girl performed puja and offered prasad. The Hanuman Chalisa and Sunderkand were recited. Pran Nath Bharat, associated with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, stated that the girl's safe return was possible due to police action and social pressure. He added that the young man is still absconding, and a demand has been made for his immediate arrest. The girl's mother stated that her daughter has decided to live with her parents. She expressed gratitude to all who supported her in this matter.
