The Digha assembly seat was also in the news this time. Divya Gautam, the cousin of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, contested this Patna seat. She lost by a narrow margin of 59,079 votes. She was defeated by Sanjeev Chaurasia of the BJP. Sanjeev Chaurasia received 111,001 votes, while Divya managed only 51,922.

These important issues were raised in campaigning

Divya Gautam, who ran on a CPI (ML) ticket in this election, had been in the news ever since, and she hoped Sushant Singh Rajput's fans would support her. During her campaign, she strongly highlighted Sushant's memory and social justice issues, but it appears these efforts were unsuccessful. This is why she was left vulnerable in the face of the BJP's strong hold.
