Shahid Kapoor played the role of a smart but wrong-hearted boy named Sunny, who along with his friend prints fake notes and supplies them in the market. Shahid was well-liked by the audience in this grey shade role.
Now a big good news has come for the fans. The work on the sequel of the series which was awaited for a long time is going to start soon. According to the report of Mid Day, the shooting of 'Farzi 2' is planned to start from December 2025. Currently Raj & DK are busy with another series named 'Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom'. As soon as this project is completed, they will start working on ‘Farzi 2’
Clash between Vijay Sethupathi and K.K. Menon's characte
According to the report, in a recent meeting, Raj and DK discussed the script and planning of 'Farzi 2'. This time, Shahid Kapoor 's character in the series will compete with powerful actors like Vijay Sethupathi and K.K. Menon. In the first season, Vijay Sethupathi played the role of a police officer, while K.K. Menon played the role of the mafia for whom Shahid's character used to make fake notes. Bhuvan Arora, who played Shahid's friend, will also be seen in this season
When will the second season of the series be released?
As far as the release date is concerned, reports claim that 'Farzi 2' may stream on Prime Video in the second half of 2026. However, it has not been officially announced yet. Fans will get to see exciting twists and tremendous action in the world of fake notes this time too. The first season of the series was well-liked and people praised Shahid's work a lot. Now fans have high expectations from the second season.
