The film was released in theaters on 23 May and it made a blockbuster collection on the opening day at the box office. There was controversy about the film earlier
Despite mixed reactions and controversy, the film has managed to maintain its hold. The story of the film is based on a time loop in which Ranjan i.e. Rajkumar Rao wakes up every morning and feels that he has haldi (haldi) on his forehead. Earlier this film was going to be released at the beginning of this month. Then due to 'Operation Sindoor', the makers decided to postpone its cinema release and release it on OTT. Angered by this decision, PVR Inox filed a case of 60 crores against the makers.
It is a big thing that such a dispute was seen between the multiplex chain and the makers of the film. After this the matter was resolved and it was decided that the film will be released in theatres only.

If we look at the city wise, the film is performing best in Chennai. Chennai topped the chart with an occupancy of 56.67 percent, followed by Jaipur (38.75%), NCR (30.50%), Mumbai (25%) and Pune (22.25%). According to industry tracker Saknilak, this strong performance helped 'Bhool Chook Maaf' surpass the Indian collections of Shahid Kapoor's action drama 'Deeva'. Deva's collection was Rs 33.97 crore.
What was the film's collection on the sixth day?
Bhool Chook Maaf had an opening of Rs 7 crore at the box office. Its collection on the second day was Rs 9.5 crore. On the third day, i.e. Sunday, the film got full benefit of it and it stopped at Rs 11.5 crore. On the fourth day, the film earned Rs 4.5 crore, on the fifth day it collected Rs 4.75 crore and on the sixth day, according to the early trends of Saccanilk, it collected Rs 2.09 crore. In this way, the total collection of the film has reached Rs 39.34 crore.
Which artists were seen?
Apart from Rajkumar and Vamika, the film also featured great actors like Seema Pahwa, Raghubir Yadav, Zakir Hussain and Sanjay Mishra. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films. The same banner that made the blockbuster 'Stree 2', which became the first Hindi film to join the Rs 600 crore club last year.
