National Herald Case: Politics has heated up across the country over the National Herald case. The Congress party is protesting outside all ED offices in the country. In Ranchi too, many Congress MLAs and leaders protested fiercely. On the other hand, the BJP has tried to corner the Congress in this matter. Leader of Opposition cum BJP State President Babulal Marandi in Jharkhand held a press conference and made serious allegations against the Congress. He said that the ED has filed a charge sheet in the National Herald case, after which the Congress seems to be furious.
Babulal Marandi said, "It may be the democratic right of the Congress to declare a nationwide movement, but they have not been given the 'right to loot'." He alleged that on 20 November 1937, the Congress had established Associated Journals Limited (AJL), under which the 'National Herald' newspaper was published.
Babulal Marandi attacks Rahul and Sonia Gandhi
He said, "Freedom fighters from across the country had provided land to this organisation at cheap rates. But in 1956 AJL became a company, and later it went into losses. By the year 2008, the company had a debt of Rs 90 crore. In 2010, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi formed a company named Young India Limited, in which Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi held 76% stake. Young India was given 99% shares of AJL and the Rs 90 crore due on it was waived off by the Congress party."
Babulal Marandi also surrounded the Hemant Soren government
Babulal Marandi surrounded the Hemant Soren government and said, "The Hemant government also gave an advertisement in the National Herald. The hard-earned money of Jharkhand has been looted. There was an event on 9 August 2024 and the advertisement was published on 11 August 2024, similarly the event took place on 19 January 2024 and the advertisement was published on 21 January 2024. This proves that the Information and Broadcasting Department and the Congress have looted the public's money.
He further said, "When ED takes action against them, these people call themselves innocent. He said, "This is the biggest example of loot. Why was the property that was taken for public work given to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi?" Marandi also said that the history of Congress has always been full of such acts.
