New Delhi: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has given some special advice to automotive dealers. What information was given by the Union Minister through video conferencing in a program organized by FADA. We are telling you in this news.

Union Minister gave advice

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday said the Indian automobile industry is on the cusp of a revolution and it needs to focus on customer service, after sales and quality assurance.

In a video message at the Auto Retail Conclave organised by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), Road Transport and Highways Minister Gadkari acknowledged that automotive dealers play a vital role in realising the government's mission of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Automotive industry on the verge of revolution

The Union Minister further said, "The automotive industry is on the cusp of a revolution and as we look to the future, it is important that the sector continues to innovate, especially in areas such as customer service, after sales and quality assurance." "As distributors of automobiles, you play a vital role in the Government's mission of 'Make in India' and contribute significantly towards realising our vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat," the Union Minister said. He said the Government attaches great importance to the role of FADA and its members in the growth of the Indian economy. "I would like to assure you of the Government's support to the auto retail sector in every possible way," he added.

key pillar of the economy

Nitin Gadkari said the auto retail sector is a key pillar of India's economy, "contributing sustainably to our GDP, generating annual revenue of around Rs 40,000 crore and contributing Rs 95,000 crore in various taxes and levies to both the Central and State governments." He added that its impact extends beyond the automotive sector to sectors like finance, insurance and is creating multiplier effects in the economy.

Working towards green mobility

He said the government's vision for the future of mobility is sustainability, innovation and safety. We are working towards becoming a global leader in green mobility solutions. FADA's focus on eco-friendly dealership practices as well as the scrappage policy are in line with this vision, the Union Minister said.
